The main aim of the course is to improve understanding on
the factors determining development of environmental policy on
corporate, state and international level. Moreover, it aims to develop understanding on the needed policies for sustainable
society and the role of science and technology in formation of
environmental policies. It includes also description of the main policy
outputs, i.e. legislation, economic instruments and environmental education . The overall goal of the course
is to find answers to the questions e.g. why certain political decisions
are preferred to solve different environmental problems and discussion
about the appropriateness of these decisions.
