The course "Qualitative Research Methods" is constructed to combine the methodological issues of qualitative research with the practice of applying methods, data collection techniques and data analysis.
The students acquire an understanding of the nature and resourcefulness of the qualitative methodological approach in research; are able to select appropriate methods for their individual research; acquire knowledge to apply specific methods and data collection techniques as well as performing data analysis; acquire basis for further in-depth enquiry into methods and techniques of their interest.
The practice part of the course builds on one individual and two tasks performed in groups.
