Modern green chemistry is a multidisciplinary topic and a trendy research philosophy, engaging knowledge from various fields of natural sciences. Studying green chemistry not only significantly expands one's knowledge but also provides a holistic view of state-of-the-art chemical science and technology in connection with other disciplines. Knowledge of green chemistry also helps in cultivating a researcher’s mindset towards more sustainable and eco-friendly thinking, a feature especially valuable in light of the ongoing green revolution. The aim of the course is to learn how to apply green chemistry principles in a truly scientific manner (not as mere buzzwords), thus considerably improving the quality and importance of one's research and opening new research directions.
