This course introduces students to the principles, techniques, and applications of operations management in both manufacturing and service organizations. Topics include productivity, competitiveness, forecasting, product and service design, process and capacity planning, facility layout, quality management, inventory systems, lean operations, scheduling, and supply chain management. Emphasis is placed on developing analytical and problem-solving skills using quantitative and qualitative tools. Students will engage in case studies, problem sets, and projects to apply concepts to real-world business challenges.
