The course Innovating Through Design Thinking and Challenge-Based Learning equips students with practical knowledge and skills to apply the Design Thinking methodology across all phases—Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Test, and Implement—while developing an AI Assistant as a service tool to support Hackathon participants. Through teamwork, guided exercises, and applied projects, students will conduct stakeholder analysis, create personas, generate and refine ideas, prototype and test solutions using the Usability Platform Test (UPT), and integrate feedback into business and marketing strategies. A unique aspect of the course is the collaboration with students from the Research Fundamentals Course during pilot testing, as well as the opportunity to act as mentors during Hackathon Days. By combining innovation methods, digital tools, and real-world application, students will gain both entrepreneurial and mentoring experience, preparing them for professional challenges in education, business, and technology-driven environments.
