Knowledge of human rights is not limited to lawyers; everyone should be aware of them. Due to the possibility of encountering scenarios where one's human rights may be violated, it is valuable to grasp which actions or omissions breach your rights and which do not. Moreover, it is beneficial to understand how to effectively safeguard your human rights at both the national and international levels in the event of a violation.
If you are a lawyer, you can assist a significant number of individuals, as human rights violations remain prevalent.
The purpose of this course/part of the course is to introduce and analyze the historical evolution, structure, primary sources, principles, and norms of International Human Rights Law. A substantial portion of the course is dedicated to European Human Rights protection mechanisms.
