This is a Master level course based on the materials developed by the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School. It realies heavily on the concepts developed by Michael Porter including the Diamond Model and to a lesser extent on the 5 Forces Model. The course focuses on the determinants of competitiveness using interdisciplinary approach. It builds on industrial organisation based perspective of firms, clusters, subnational units, nations and aims at improving students ability to analyse the determinants of competitiveness in industries, clusters and nations.
