🔍 Welcome to OSINT 101!
Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) is the practice of collecting and analyzing publicly available information
to support decision-making, investigations, or research. With so much data available online, knowing how to find,
verify, and ethically use that information is a critical 21st-century skill.
Before we begin our in-class activities, take a few moments to explore the interactive OSINT Quest Map. It will guide you through:
- 🧭 OSINT vs. Information: What’s the difference?
- 🛠️ Basic Skills: Search smarter, verify better
- ⚖️ Ethics: Stay legal and responsible with public data
🎯 Goal: Work through the map before class to be ready for the in-class activities.
💙 Bonus: All who complete the map before class will earn an extra life to use at the end of the semester!
