The course deals with the potential of using green energy technologies as a supplement and, if possible, replacing conventional technologies, as well as possibilities for combining renewable energy. Strategies for increasing the use of renewable energy resources for future demand will be explored.
Environmental impacts, challenges and future trends, fundamentals, potential and assessments of applications of conventional and renewable energy sources are introduced: solar energy, wind energy, hydro energy, biomass, geothermal energy, ocean energy
The course deals with chemical processes, mass and energy flows during thermochemical transformation. Basics of process and equipment calculation. Kinetics and thermodynamics of gasification and pyrolysis.
The practical part of the subject includes developing solutions for green energy technologies, making the necessary calculations and preparing a report.
