The purpose of this course is to introduce the concept of urban and regional planning, and to discuss how government and society have influenced development of different cities (incl. American) and regions through the planning profession. Specifically, the course will cover urban history and the history of planning; and more comprehensively the physical, social and economic issues and practices related to urban and regional planning.
