Dear course participants, 

please indicate your choice of the final evaluation before Sunday evening. The link will be closed on Sep 14, 23:55

Once again, the options are the following:

  • Examination (4 out of 5 essay questions, open-book, write / type options): September 30, 16:00, room to be announced
  • Essay (3000 words, one of the topics suggested): to be submitted via Moodle by November 10, 9:00

For students who are taking the exam and who is attending the lecture TEM8300 - exam takes place same day, same place, 18:00.

To avoid schedule overlap with other TG courses the exam will start 15 min earlier tomorrow, i.e. 15:45. Apologies for any possible inconvenience.

Please find the grades for examination under "Submissions and grades".

For feedback: Monday (13.10) 2 - 5 pm; Wednesday (15.10) 2 - 5 pm or any other time (please email in advance); room SOC-433.

Students who would like to improve the grade are welcome to submit an essay on one of the three topics offered by December 15, 9 am.

Dear course participants, 

please find the grades for essays uploaded in Word file at the bottom of the course page. In case you'd like to receive the feedback:

  • Wednesday (10.12) 16:30 - 18:30, room X-433.
  • Thursday (11.12) 17:00 - 19:00, room X-433. 
  • Or any other time - please email in advance.

There have been a number of works that were not accepted mainly to the authorship concerns despite the fact that plagiarism policy has been discussed in class. Rejected papers are the result of zero tolerance towards inappropriate referencing practices and academic negligence, which ultimately makes it unable to assess the author's independent thinking - a prerequisite for any type of graduate-level academic essay.

Students who submitted their essays on November 10 and now would like to get / improve their result are welcome to submit their new papers by January 12, 9 am, in Moodle under Essay (re-take). If you intend to do that please choose another topic from the list of the themes. Results will be available by January 19.

Please make sure to follow appropriate formatting practices, especially what comes to referencing other sources, and in case of doubt do not hesitate to contact me.
