Introduction to the course

The core idea of the course "Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare" is to give an overview about the theoretical and practical knowledge about artificial intelligence (AI) to engineers who will work with AI healthcare technology. The subject will give knowledge about basic AI concept, principles and algorithms, as well as applications, importance, economic influence and legal and ethical aspects in healthcare technology.

Current e-course is a part of the course IHB0090 "Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare" and supports participants ability to: 

- know machine learning principles to solve problems related to health care

technology emerging from healthcare needs and applications;

- use AI vocabulary and has understanding about the main principles and

methods;

- use components of machine learning;

- know different methods to prepare data for machine learning and model

optimization and apply these methods;

- create machine learning models;

- assess the fitness of a machine learning model;

- combine and apply clustering algorithms and parameters;

- analyse legal and ethical aspects of AI.
