Ülesande eesmärk on tutvustada üliõpilastele maailma ühe raskeimate tagajärgedega tankeri Sanchi huku asjaolusid ning analüüsida katastroofi põhjustanud vigu, sh laevajuhtimisega seotud vigu.
The purpose of the task is to introduce students to the circumstances of the sinking of the tanker Sanchi, one with the most serious consequences in the world, and to analyze the errors that caused the disaster, including errors related to ship navigation.
Antud ülesanne on arendatud probleemõppe projekti "Säästev areng merenduses" raames ning põhineb ÜRO Säästva Arengu Eesmärkidel (teema 14 "Ookeanid ja mereressursid").
