The goal of the course is to develop both theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the role of the state in technology development. The course will introduce both conceptual perspectives and offer practical and interactive examples of how governments can adopt existing and develop new technological solutions and related socio-technical principles for improving public services. In the seminars, the students will develop, as group assignments, their own new solutions to public sector tasks/functions by applying latest technological tools and related principles.
