Aims of the Advanced Manufacturing Planning and Control systems course are:
- To study and create business process models at different levels of an enterprise with a focus on the production process.
- To understand manufacturing planning and control methods, the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and its implementation for manufacturing.
- To develop a manufacturing planning process for a use-case (product) by using ERP software that includes BOM, routing, MPS, and MRP.
- To study and understand the use of manufacturing simulation for planning and analysis of a process.
