Have you ever wondered why you can take a plane to the other side of the world, why different countries share similar road signs, or why a letter can be delivered to anyone, anywhere? There are countless examples of this interconnectedness. All of this is possible due to public international law – the rules countries have established among themselves. Our globalized world simply couldn't exist without it today.

However, not all challenges have been overcome. International law prohibits war, yet conflicts persist.

Discover how you can shape international relations! If you aspire to work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, international departments of other government agencies, or international organizations, understanding this subject is essential.

This course is addressed to bachelor students. The aim of the course is to deeply analyse the historical development, structure, main sources, principles and norms as well as branches of public international law.
The course consists of lectures, discussions, role-plays/simulations and case-studies. In class, the focus will be on legal analysis of the rules and their application in real-life cases

Enjoy your learning!
