Make a submission

Now that you have established a company or start-up, created a product or service, thought about branding and marketing, develop an advertising strategy. Write a short description to help you present it in class next time. Here are some questions that might help you focus.

1. Target Audience (you've thought about it previously, now remind us and elaborate):

  •    Who is your target audience?
  •    What are their demographics (age, gender, location, income)?
  •    What are their interests, preferences, and behaviors?
  •    How can you reach them effectively? 

2. Unique Selling Proposition (USP):

  •    What sets your product/service apart from competitors?
  •    Why should customers choose your product/service over alternatives?
  •    How can you communicate your USP clearly and persuasively? 

3. Advertising Channels:

  • Which advertising channels are most suitable for reaching your target audience (social media, print, TV, radio, online ads, etc.)?
  • How can you leverage each channel's strengths to maximize impact?
  • Are there any emerging or unconventional channels worth exploring? 

4. Message and Content:

  • What message do you want to convey to your audience?
  • How can you tailor your message to resonate with different segments of your target audience?
  • What types of content (text, images, videos, infographics) will be most effective in conveying your message?

7. Ethical Considerations:

  • How can you ensure your advertising is truthful, transparent, and respectful?
  • Are there any potential ethical pitfalls you would need to avoid?
