Mitmed üliõpilased on minu poole pöördunud probleemiga, et neil on Mac arvuti ja Stata ei tööta korralikult: akendes ei saa teha valikuid ehk nn radio button-id ei tööta.
Minul ei ole Mac-i ja ega ma ei oska kuidagi aidata. Leidsin küll Stata foorumist ühe postituse, mis tundub, käib analoogse probleemi kohta. Seal on aga StataCorp poolt vastus, et see oli Stata 18 kohta ning probleem lahendati eelmise aasta septembris:
"We've confirmed the issue. macOS Tahoe changed the behavior of how radio button groups work which Stata has been using for years in its programmable dialogs. Dialogs and tabs within the Dialogs, Graphics, and Statistics menus that contain radio buttons are affected by this change in behavior in that a radio button group will prevent any clicks from being passed through to other controls.
We have fixed the issue and updates will be coming very soon for releases of Stata 18 and newer. Older versions of Stata are no longer officially updated but please contact Stata tech support if you're using an older version of Stata than Stata 18 and are affected by this change in macOS Tahoe."

Kel see probleem esineb, võib ise ka sealt foorumist otsida. Ja sinna foorumisse on võimalik ka ise kirjutada ja küsida, selleks peab küll registreerima.
Kui kellelgi see probleem esines ja ta leidis võimaluse selle lahendamiseks, võiks teistele ka teatada. Kas minu kirjale foorumis vastates või kirjutada Varia foorumisse.

Sealt küll midagi sellist ei leidnud.
