Lab Assignment 4

In this assignment, you will be required to complete three process scheduling schemes discussed in class. Furthermore, you will also be required to solve questions regarding Computer arithmetic operations.

READ THE GUIDELINES BEFORE YOU START WITH YOUR ASSIGNMENT. READ EACH SECTION BEFORE YOU START WORKING ON IT.

Download the attached Lab Assignment 4 - The Process and Computer Arithmetic.xlsx sheet that contains the process scheduling schemes and computer arithmetic questions. Round Robin has 3 ms quantum (but it is allowed to use different ones up to 5 ms).

Guidelines

1- The file must be submitted in the .xlsx format. Any other format will not be accepted.
2- Failing to fill the Name tab in Lab Assignment 4 - The Process and Computer Arithmetic.xlsx sheet will cause point loss.
3- Complete all the tasks in each tab and submit your assignment named FIRSTNAME_LASTNAME_STUDENTCODE.xlsx

I/O Requests should be interpreted as parts of main tasks and when such an event occurs, the corresponding process should go into waiting state (either from ready or from running state).

For Round Robin, you can use 3 ms time quantum or you can make up your own time (but no more than 5 ms).

If you have any questions, please post them on the Course participant's forum (ask questions from a teacher/other participants). Other students are encouraged to participate in asking and answering questions.
